Four day stay in the middle of July 2010. Beautiful lobby, we were greeted instantly. We were checked in by a friendly gentlemen who made us feel very welcome. We felt that with only the 2 of us, we had more than enough space to move around in our room comfortably. The breakfast buffet was full of variety and very delicious. Room service staff was very polite and the food there was also wonderful. Could not have asked for a better location! Central to everything you could possibly want to see, except for maybe the Statue of Liberty, which is where the subway station right around the corner came in very handy. At one point, we were looking some things up on the free computers in the lobby (another plus!) and headed out, forgetting our camera sitting there on the desk. A staff member noticed it there, turned it on to look at a couple of pictures and recognized us from the pics before we made it out of the hotel lobby and chased us down to return our camera to us. This was on our second to last day, so imagine the devastation if we had lost all of our pictures from the entire trip! We really appreciated that. Overall, staff was friendly, rooms were clean and decent size, location was unbeatable and we left there knowing that we will definitely be back!

The hotel had a great location. The room itself was just OK. It was very small and there was no area outside of the bathroom for anyone to get ready. It may be how all hotels are in NYC unless you pay a fortune. The hotel was not accomodating when I asked for a late check out time and said that we would be charged * if we were not out by 12:00. Would I stay here again, maybe. But I would check out other hotels first. Someone else had made this reservation for us.

Great location, but really crowded in the summer. Size of rooms are fine by NYC standards (except beware of corner rooms -- they are really small), but in need of renovation. Bathroom are not good.
